Safe Matrimony Guidelines

Practical Christian matrimony safety guidance for protecting contact details, verifying identities, avoiding financial requests, and reporting misuse.

Navigate With Confidence and Discernment

At GTC Matrimony, we consider it a sacred responsibility to steward a secure and dignified environment for your family's search.

While we manually review profiles and encourage document verification, finding a life partner is a journey that requires your own prayerful discernment and careful judgment.

These gentle guidelines are designed to help you navigate your search with confidence, peace of mind, and safety.

Protecting Your Contact Details

  • Use Our Platform to Communicate First: We encourage you to use secure messaging within GTC Matrimony during the initial stages of getting to know a family.
  • Share When You Are Ready: Your phone number and email address are hidden by default. Share personal contact details only when trust has been established.
  • Involve Your Family: We strongly encourage discussing potential matches with parents or guardians before moving communication off the platform.

Never Fulfill Financial Requests

A true matrimonial search is built on shared values, not financial transactions.

  • Decline Any Requests for Money: Under no circumstances should you send money, transfer funds, or share financial information with another member, regardless of the reason provided.
  • Report Immediately: If a member asks for money or financial assistance, report the profile immediately. This is a severe violation of our community standards.

Verifying Identities and Information

  • Check Information Carefully: Team review and profile approval do not guarantee identity or suitability. Check information carefully and involve your family before proceeding.
  • Ask the Right Questions: Take your time to understand a person's background, faith journey, and family life. Inconsistencies over time can be a gentle warning sign.
  • Use Video Calls: Before meeting in person, a video call is a safe way to confirm that the person matches their profile photos and demeanor.

Advice for the First Meeting

  • Choose a Public Place: Arrange your first few meetings in a safe public location, such as a reputable cafe, restaurant, or church setting.
  • Involve Your Family: Family involvement is a blessing. Have parents, guardians, or trusted family members present or nearby during initial meetings.
  • Arrange Your Own Transport: Always take control of your own transportation to and from the meeting location.

Utilizing Privacy Controls

  • Photo Privacy: Basic viewers receive blurred approved photographs; eligible Personal Assistance viewers may see approved photographs clearly. The platform does not provide individual photo hiding or blurring controls.
  • Block Feature: If you ever feel uncomfortable with someone's communication, you can respectfully and quietly block them.

Reporting Misuse

Our stewardship team is here to support you. We rely on our community to help maintain a respectful environment.

  • Use Report Profile: Report inappropriate language, false information, money requests, or behavior that does not align with Christian values.
  • Confidentiality: All reports are handled with strict confidentiality by our moderation team. The member you report will not be informed of your identity.

May God grant you wisdom and discernment as you seek His will for your family's future.
