Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how GTC Matrimony uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our platform.
The application uses authentication/onboarding cookies and browser storage for service functions.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They allow a website to recognize your browser for security, session continuity, and protected service operation.
Cookies We Use
Authentication and Onboarding
gtc_token supports cookie-based authentication. gtc_onboarding supports onboarding routing state.
Framework Sessions and Security
The configured Laravel framework session cookie is gtc-matrimony-session, with a configured session lifetime of 120 minutes, Secure and HttpOnly attributes and SameSite=Lax, where framework session functions apply. Browser behavior and application activity affect expiry; this does not mean every API response sets this cookie.
Optional Categories
Hosting and external services may use their own technologies under their applicable policies.
Third-Party Cookies
The member membership page conditionally loads https://checkout.razorpay.com/v1/checkout.js when its checkout conditions permit. Provider scripts may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.
Payment-provider technologies may be used where payment functionality is available. Their use is governed by the applicable provider policies.
Managing Cookies
You can manage or block cookies and browser storage through your browser settings, including deleting site data or blocking selected sites.
Blocking authentication or service state can affect sign-in, onboarding and protected features.
Local and Session Storage
Local storage holds gtc_user (account display data), gtc_member_portal_status (portal state), and gtc_intended_plan (plan intent). Current authentication uses backend HttpOnly cookies rather than a bearer token persisted in local storage. Account display data can include personal information; it is not entirely non-sensitive.
Session storage holds gtc_verify_email for pending verification, gtc:public-masters:v1 for public taxonomy cache (entries have a five-minute expiry), and gtc-payment-verification-order for historical verification context. A gtc-payment-storage-check entry is immediately removed after its availability check. Session storage generally lasts for the browser-tab session; local storage has no automatic expiry and is cleared by the relevant application actions or browser/user controls.
Browser settings can remove or restrict this storage. Removing browser storage does not delete server records, backups or third-party records.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our platform, security practices, or legal requirements evolve. The Last Updated date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
